OnlineCheckWriter has been useful for sending checks and payments, and overall it does what I need it to do. I just wish I felt a little more confident about the pricing before using it regularly, because some of the fees seem minor at first but start to stand out once you use the service more often.
I’d probably give it 3 stars because it’s definitely a helpful tool, but it doesn’t always feel like the most budget-friendly option for smaller users like me. It would be reassuring if the plans were clearer upfront and maybe better suited for people who aren’t sending a huge number of checks.

I tried connecting my bank several times, and each time it either failed halfway through or sent me right back to the start screen. It was especially annoying because I’d get to the same little verification step and then have to redo everything. Support replied, but they didn’t really solve the issue, so after a while I just gave up and switched to something else.

I don’t remember every single detail now, but what sticks with me is how annoying the transaction tracking was. A couple of payments didn’t update when I expected them to, so I kept having to check manually to figure out what was happening. The fraud checks seem okay overall. I haven’t had any major issues, but there’s literally nothing that feels especially impressive or different about the security.

I tried using Online Check Writer to mail a check, it was kind of disappointing. I thought it would be straightforward, but it ended up taking much longer than I expected. Also, the tracking was weirdly unclear, so I kept checking back and still not really knowing where things stood.
Support did get back to me, so I’ll give them that, but the replies felt very generic. Like, technically someone answered, but it didn’t really move anything forward. I was still left guessing, and at that point I was already frustrated because the whole point was to make mailing a check easier.

Maybe the site is better for other features, I don’t know, and I can see how it might work fine for someone else. But for mailing a check, my experience just wasn’t great. Slow delivery, vague tracking, and not much real help from support made it a let down for me
